Can an infrared camera find mold?

The infrared cameras are a great way to find water damage. The first picture certainly shows where there is an area that our technicians will have to be more mindful of during the mitigation.

Can an infrared camera find mold?

Infrared cannot find mold specifically but it does let SERVPRO of Olathe / Lenexa technicians know where the problems are located. Removing the mold is imperative before applying air movement or dehumidification equipment. We remove the mold damaged building materials and dispose of them properly. Fortunately the mold in this room was very minor in comparison to some that we have remediated in the past.
